To be a part…

This full scale interactive cardboard living room was on display at Forager Crafts in Frogtown, Los Angeles on July 5th. It was a joy to present this work to the public and to witness the delight that people experienced walking onto this immersive set. In being a part of this whimsical world.

Sustainable Art

The set piece was made almost entirely of found cardboard; cut, formed, and attached together by hand.  All cardboard was provided by people around us, happy to unload their recent shipping boxes for an artful purpose.  The only purchase made was the craft paper that was used for the hand printed wallpaper and floors.  When we are done with the set pieces, they can be recycled again.  We delighted in using this normally discarded material and giving it a new creative life, forming like clay to create our world.  We embraced the natural texture of the cardboard and hoped to captivate with the playful illusion of the set.
